KS3 Recommended Reading List
Welcome to our KS3 recommended reading lists: a mixture of fiction and non-fiction texts to spark your curiosity.
We have grouped your subjects into six categories to make it easier for you to find texts that will interest you, that will help to deepen your understanding and that will broaden your knowledge on a range of topics.
All the texts listed link in some way to the topic, the themes or the key knowledge that you are learning about throughout each of the three terms.

Do you dislike reading but are being told you need to read? Have you found it impossible to pick a book that interests you? Did you used to enjoy reading but have fallen out of the habit?
The books on this list are texts that have been recommended by young people as being the books that helped them get into reading.
Read to Relax: Download Reading List
Reading will relax your body by lowering your heart rate and easing the tension in your muscles. A 2009 study at the University of Sussex found that reading can reduce stress by up to 68%. It works better and faster than other relaxation methods, such as listening to music or watching tv.
