Educational Visits
At Tudor Grange Academy we know that educational visits are an important part of the school journey. Educational visits provide opportunities for pupils to gain real-world experience, learn independence, and become resilient by stepping outside their comfort zone. We know this contributes greatly to their on-going personal development. For this reason, we try to provide opportunities for every child to access an educational visit that provides a ‘life-changing experience’. Our key aims are that every student:
- Goes on at least one educational visit per year.
- Gets the opportunity to go on residential trips.
- Gets the opportunity to go on an international trip during their time at the academy.
We understand that with the wide range of visits on offer it can become expensive and require planning. It is important to remember that educational visits are rarely compulsory, and students will not be penalised for not attending. When educational visits are compulsory, they are either free of charge, rely on voluntary contributions, or in the case of A-Level Geography students are made aware of the cost before choosing the course. For this reason, we have created a guide to the educational visits we currently offer.
The Local Experience Series
These are UK-based, day trips. We offer a wide range of opportunities including theatre trips, university visits and Parliament tours. These educational visits are advertised as and when.

The British Adventure Series
As per our aim to give every student the opportunity to go on a residential, we offer an affordable residential every year for years 7 – 10. These all take place in the summer term.

Occasionally, extra educational visits will be offered. These may be one-off opportunities that have become available. Details of these visits will be shared as and when.
